Evangelist/Prophetess Saretta L. Dorn is a dynamic teacher and
preacher of the Word of God, having been filled with the Holy Ghost
at the age of twelve. Over the last sixteen years she has traveled
extensively with her husband, evangelist Terry Dorn. She has become a
popular speaker at retreats for women of all denominations. God has
also anointed her with songwriting ability. She began singing for the
glory of God at the tender age of five. Her father, Lee Lewis, tells how
he used to pick her up and put her on the platform to sing. Mr. Lewis
(related to the Singing Lewis Family) goes on to tell how Saretta used to
play the Happy Goodman albums and used a shoe or a hairbrush for a
microphone as she sang along. It is not by chance that she has a husband
who plays southern/country gospel style music. At a young age God
placed in her heart the desire to sing for Him. Since that time God has
also given her the ability to lead people into the presence of the Lord. It
has been said,"Saretta has a very special way of communicating His
message so that thousands of people have come to know Jesus over the
years. Saretta's compassion for people has enhanced her ministry". She is
very knowledgeable of the Word and is led by the Spirit of God. This
allows her to carry her message to many denominations. Saretta has said
many times that where the Spirit of the Lord is in control there is not
confusion. Before Saretta and Her husband set out on a mission for the
Lord, God was preparing her for this by involving her in prison ministry
as well as holding offices in several churches.
Saretta has been a Christian School teacher by trade. Over the years, this
has also prepared her for the ministry to which God has called her.
Saretta is available for revivals, women's conferences, and with her
husband, is available for southern gospel music concerts. Saretta and
Terry are a favorite Evangelististic team for many congregations through
out the southeastern U.S. as well in upper New York State and parts of
Canada. When Terry and Saretta are not on the road, they are at their
home church, Northwoods Church Of God, in Thomasville, Ga.
Saretta has been nick named "Spark Plug" by a senior board member of
the church. This is due to the freedom and energy she shows in her
worship. She tells people that she wants them to know that God desires
and inhabits the praise and worship of His people. She is not ashamed to
worship Him openly and freely.
The Lord has healed Saretta of two major diseases in her life
(Female cancer and a rare bone disease called Osteomylitis). She is a
walking miracle and example of what a mighty God can do. She takes
every opportunity she can to encourage and tell people all over the
country that God is still in the healing business!
